In today's world, where the need for sustainable energy sources and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions is increasingly emphasized, wave energy is becoming one of the choices for an electrical energy source. This research is focused on the exploration of devices that can convert wave energy into electrical power. Through a detailed analysis of technologies and innovative approaches, we investigate the possibilities of creating a more environmentally friendly maritime sector, as well as providing essential electrical energy to islands that are often beyond the reach of main power grids.Figure 1: Mean wave power over the 30-year time interval considered (19892018) based on date from ERA5 (i.e.,ECMWF RE-analysis, fifth generation).
